In a post shared via Instagram Stories on Friday, Okoye questioned:

We can’t have the uneducated leading the educated. Makes zero sense.

“How hard is it to reform our electoral act making at least a Uni bachelor’s degree a benchmark for qualification to run for any office in Nigeria?”

His post has sparked conversations across social media, with many Nigerians debating whether academic qualifications should determine political eligibility.

The current Nigerian constitution allows candidates with only a secondary school certificate to contest elections.

Meanwhile, reality TV star Tacha Akide also voiced frustration with Nigerian youth, criticizing their lack of political participation.
