Jesse King Rebirth Concert celebrates 20+ years of musical brilliance with a star-studded tribute to Highlife on 19 Oct at the Civic Centre, Lagos

Jesse King Rebirth Concert is set to take centre stage on Saturday, 19 October 2025, as the Nigerian Highlife maestro commemorates over two decades of musical and cultural impact.

The milestone event, themed “Back to Highlife – The Rhythm of Our Culture,” promises an evening of rhythm, heritage, and pure nostalgia.

The celebration, to be held at the prestigious Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, will feature a star-studded line-up including Veentage Band, Sammy, Peter De Rock, Ibitayo Jeje, Yemmy TPX, Most Precious, and Judeworldstar.

These artists will pay tribute to Highlife’s golden roots while showcasing its relevance in today’s soundscape.

Jesse King, fondly known as Bùgá, said the event would “bridge the gap between the old and the new.” He described the concert as a deeply personal journey, blending lyrical wisdom with modern rhythm.

“This concert is about evolution — it’s the old soul of Highlife dressed in the garments of now,” said King.

Far from a regular performance, the Jesse King Rebirth Concert is a full-fledged cultural experience.

Attendees can expect live music, Nigerian delicacies, vibrant décor, and a celebration of tradition wrapped in elegance.

The event is being coordinated by LA Luxxe Events, led by renowned planner Lawunmi Osode**, who promised a meticulously curated evening.
