Actress and filmmaker Jaiye Kuti, alongside distributor Nile Entertainment, announced in Lagos, that her latest Nollywood release, Jayeola Monje: The Anniversary, has grossed over N20.7 million in cinemas nationwide.

The milestone was shared via a collaborative Instagram post, confirming the film’s strong performance at the Nigerian box office since its theatrical release on May 22.

The announcement described the earnings as a testament to audience support, with the production team expressing gratitude to cinema-goers across the country for what they called an overwhelming response.

The message, which quickly gained traction online, also encouraged viewers to continue watching the film, noting that it remains in cinemas nationwide.

It urged audiences to gather friends and experience the production on the big screen while it is still showing.

Directed by Oluwale Adebayo, the film explores the intertwined lives of Jaye and Dotun, whose relationship becomes shaped by a mysterious spiritual pact that influences their destiny in unexpected ways.

The ensemble cast features notable Nollywood figures including Wasiu Pasuma, Femi Adebayo, Bimbo Oshin, Antar Laniyan, Ibrahim Yekini, Faithia Williams and content creator Maryam Apaokagi-Greene, contributing to what has been described as a compelling and emotionally charged production.
