Iyanya defends N500K nurse reward after a social media user questioned his decision to gift a nurse who continued working during a strike.

The music star had earlier promised N500,000 to the nurse, praising her for showing up to care for patients while others were on strike.
When a user asked, “Why reward bad behavior?” Iyanya fired back:
What’s your definition of bad behavior? She chose to save lives. That’s not bad.
He said the nurse is an essential worker who acted with compassion, not selfishness, and deserved appreciation.
Iyanya also condemned the way the nurse was treated by her colleagues, calling it unfair.
“I want to find her. She’s not doing it for money but to help people,” he posted.
“Someone please find her for me.”

The video that caught his attention showed the nurse being mocked for working during the strike, which moved Iyanya to offer his support.
