Iyabo Ojo Petitions Police Over Privacy Breach

Iyabo Ojo police petition alleges NPF-NCC misconduct and claims VeryDarkMan leaked private interrogation details after being granted improper access

Iyabo Ojo police petition has stirred public reaction after the Nollywood actress formally accused Nigeria Police officials and social media figure VeryDarkMan of serious misconduct during her recent interrogation.

In the petition submitted on July 29, 2025, through her legal representatives, The Maverick Forte Legal, Iyabo Ojo alleged that officers of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCC) violated standard procedures while questioning her at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The widely circulated document reveals that VeryDarkMan, a civilian and a defendant in a related case, was granted unauthorized access to her interrogation room.

Ojo, who is a witness in the same case, said the move breached protocol and compromised the investigation.

She further accused Commissioner of Police Ifeanyi Henry Uche of facilitating the access due to an “improper relationship” with VeryDarkMan.

According to her, private details from the interrogation were later leaked online by the influencer.

Declaring the process “tainted and partial,” the actress vowed not to return to the Abuja office.

Instead, she is calling for the case to be transferred to Lagos for an independent and neutral investigation.

The issue stems from Iyabo Ojo’s public outcry over the death of singer Mohbad, in which she called out Naira Marley and Sam Larry, prompting a police invitation.
