Iyabo Ojo urges Wizkid and Tiwa Savage to speak up and support the ongoing Justice for Mohbad campaign, emphasizing the responsibility of top Nigerian artists to protect the next generation of talent.

During a recent Instagram livestream, the Nollywood actress passionately appealed to music stars, reminding them that late singer Mohbad looked up to them as role models.

“These young boys come from the slums, just like many of you did. They were inspired by you to chase their dreams. It’s unfair if you don’t stand up for them now,” she said.

Ojo stressed that the Nigerian music industry cannot afford to repeat the painful history experienced by legends like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and 2Baba, who battled industry oppression and exploitation.

“We can’t allow cults or individuals to destroy our young talents. These kids are putting Nigeria on the global map through music. We must protect them,” she added.

Iyabo Ojo urges Wizkid and Tiwa Savage to use their platforms to seek accountability in the mysterious death of Mohbad, whose case remains unresolved nearly two years later.
