IVD Separated From Children Speaks Out After Three Years

IVD separated from children for over three years reveals emotional pain on The Honest Bunch, says he has had no contact since 2022 tragedy

Controversial Nigerian auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has opened up about the emotional toll of being separated from his five children for more than three years.

Appearing on The Honest Bunch podcast, IVD shared that he has been completely cut off from his children since 2022.

The separation began after the death of his wife, Bimbo, in a tragic fire at their Lekki home.

“They kidnapped my five kids. I’ve not seen them till now. It’s been over three years now. I’ve not seen my kids. I don’t even know how they are doing. I do not talk to them on the phone,” he said during the emotional interview.

IVD claimed that his late wife’s family has blocked all attempts at contact, effectively shutting him out of his children’s lives. He expressed deep concern for their wellbeing and the long-term impact of the situation.

Despite the personal struggles, IVD said he has found some measure of peace in his new relationship with relationship therapist and media personality Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO.

When asked about rumours of infidelity, the father of five responded strongly. “God forbid. I swear with my life,” IVD said, firmly denying any allegations of cheating.

His previous marriage to Bimbo lasted 16 years and was publicly fraught with accusations of domestic violence.

Both IVD and Bimbo had repeatedly levelled serious allegations against each other before her untimely passing in October 2022.
