Directed by Pamela Adie, the sequel continues the story of two women navigating love and identity three years after their separation.

The narrative explores the complexities of queer relationships in contemporary Nigeria, where same-sex love is legally and culturally contested.

The premiere is scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2026, with a second screening on Tuesday, March 24, both at BFI Southbank, London.

Despite being submitted past the official deadline, the film was fast-tracked by festival programmers as a priority selection for the 2026 edition.

Adie described the project as an act of love and resistance, emphasizing its significance in giving voice to unseen Nigerian narratives on international platforms.

The film features actors Uzoamaka Power, Gbubemi Ejeye, Ozzy Agu, Binta Ayo Mogaji, Adunolaoluwa Osilowo, and Najite Dede.

Building on the foundation of the 2020 original Ìfé, one of Nigeria’s first films centered on a lesbian relationship, the sequel continues to challenge traditional Nollywood representations of queer stories.
