The bold culinary feat, which took place amid much fanfare, was hailed by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a shining example of the country’s global excellence and creative spirit.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, extended his congratulations on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling Baci’s determination a reflection of the “Nigerian spirit that the world has come to appreciate.”

“The Federal Government lauds Hilda Baci’s extraordinary effort in putting Nigeria once again on the global map,” Idris said. “Her dedication to excellence and her unrelenting pursuit of greatness exemplify what it means to be a proud Nigerian.”

Hilda Baci Guinness World Record event was the result of nine months of meticulous planning, during which the chef prepared to cook the largest single pot of jollof rice ever attempted.

The event not only tested her culinary skills but showcased Nigeria’s rich food culture to a global audience.

Despite early criticism from detractors online, Baci’s successful completion of the challenge has silenced her critics. Actress Jumoke Odetola also came to her defence, calling out social media trolls who mocked the festival.

This isn’t the first time Hilda Baci has reached for the stars.

Her previous record-breaking cooking marathon caught global attention and earned her a place among Nigeria’s most celebrated Guinness World Record holders.
