Frank Edoho confirms marriage to Sandra Onyenuchenuya has ended, revealing that incompatibility and emotional exhaustion eventually forced the couple apart.

The veteran Nigerian broadcaster made the disclosure during an emotional appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he also reflected on the collapse of his first marriage.

Edoho, best known as the long-time host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, told listeners that love alone could not sustain either of his relationships. “Maybe I’m not good at marriage,” he confessed. “The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates.

The love of your life is different from your soul mate. The love of your life is who comes to mind when you think of love. But a soul mate is someone who understands you before you even express yourself.”

He described how he gave everything—emotionally, mentally and physically—to both marriages, only to discover that love was not always enough. According to him, despite the depth of his affection and sacrifices, he and Sandra were ultimately incompatible.

“I carried my partners. I could abandon everything for them. But people fall out of love, and you don’t blame them for that,” Edoho said, citing the example of footballer Kaka, whose wife once left him allegedly for being “too good.”

Edoho also touched on what he believes makes a relationship thrive, especially from a man’s perspective. He explained that a partner’s willingness to submit, in the traditional sense, could unlock deep loyalty and devotion from a man.

“My ex-wife pampered and submitted to me, and that made me want to do anything for her,” he said, reinforcing his belief that mutual understanding and respect are key.

The candid remarks have reignited public interest in Edoho’s private life, which he has mostly kept out of the spotlight since stepping away from television.

His revelations offer a rare glimpse into the emotional toll of high-profile relationships and the personal costs often hidden behind public success.
