Flutterwave partners with Tiwa Savage Music Foundation to empower African creative talent through training, mentorship, and global opportunities

Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has announced a strategic partnership with the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing African creative talent.

The foundation’s official launch took place on 9 March 2025 at The Delborough Lagos, convening prominent figures from government, business, and entertainment.

Guests included Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, media entrepreneur Mo Abudu, veteran politician Florence Ita Giwa, Don Jazzy, and representatives from the United States Consulate.

The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation seeks to empower emerging talent across the continent, extending opportunities to performers, producers, composers, engineers, and music business professionals.

Its programmes include access to world-class training, mentorship, and resources, with structured pathways into global networks such as scholarships to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Flutterwave Founder and CEO Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola highlighted the synergy between the company’s mission and the foundation’s vision.

“At Flutterwave, our dream has always been to connect Africa to the world and the world to Africa. Tiwa’s dream is to take Nigerian and African creative talent global. These are not two separate dreams; they are the same dream,” he said.

The partnership also includes financial support from Flutterwave to fund the foundation’s programmes and long-term vision, signalling a sustained investment in Africa’s creative economy.

Tiwa Savage expressed gratitude, noting that the collaboration provides the necessary infrastructure, access, and belief for artists to thrive internationally.
