Don Jazzy Opens Up on Failure Before Mavins Records

Don Jazzy shares how he nearly quit music after Mo-hits ended but persevered with friends support eventually founding Mavins Records.

Nigerian music executive and CEO of Mavins Records Don Jazzy has revealed the struggles he faced before founding his record label.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Don Jazzy shared that he almost quit music after the end of Mo-Hits Records, even considering moving abroad to leave production behind.

“When Mo’Hits ended, I thought that was it. I almost packed up to move abroad. But friends encouraged me to stay and start again, and Mavin Records was born. Since then, I’ve learned not to let anything break me,” he said.

He credited his friends’ support for giving him the motivation to continue, emphasizing the importance of encouragement during challenging times.
