Speaking on his social media platform X, DJ Big N noted that recent Grammy losses by Nigerian artists, including Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, and Wizkid, were partly due to limited involvement in American music seminars and decision-making processes.

He highlighted the example of Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo, a multiple Grammy winner, who regularly participates in US music events and has leveraged her influence within the Recording Academy.

“Legends like @angeliquekidjo and @YoussouNdourSN have shown us the power of being involved beyond just the award night,” he wrote.
