The music mogul’s legal team has initiated conversations with former President Donald Trump about a possible presidential pardon before his sentencing scheduled for October 3, 2025.

“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Westmoreland told CNN.

Despite Diddy’s appeal, Trump expressed reluctance in a Newsmax interview. While he acknowledged having been friendly with Diddy in the past, Trump noted a shift in their relationship during his presidential campaign.

“I was very friendly with him… but when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” Trump said.
“I would say [granting a pardon] is unlikely, yeah.”

Diddy was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution by a New York jury, each count carrying a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.

He was acquitted of more severe racketeering and sex trafficking charges after a high-profile trial. Throughout the process, Diddy has maintained his innocence.

Scheduled for sentencing on October 3, 2025, Diddy’s request for a Trump pardon adds complexity to an already intense legal battle.
