Dangote Delivers Emotional Speech at Temi Otedola’s Wedding

Dangote speech at Temi Otedola wedding turned heads and touched hearts as Africa’s richest man delivered an unforgettable moment during the elegant ceremony in Iceland.

Serving as Chairman of the occasion, Aliko Dangote balanced emotion with humour, celebrating the union of Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola in a speech that has since gone viral online.

Describing Iceland as “a very special place,” Dangote admitted it was his first time in the Nordic country and playfully added that he had “been asleep since arrival.”

Despite his busy schedule, he shared that he cancelled other engagements just to be present, calling Temi “a very, very special person to the family.”

Turning his attention to the groom, the billionaire industrialist praised Mr Eazi’s humility and entrepreneurial drive. “He’s calm, humble, and a rare blend of musician and businessman,” Dangote said, noting that Eazi operates businesses in 18 African countries. “Temi is lucky to have such a husband,” he added.

But he didn’t let Temi off the spotlight either.

Dangote commended her for her independence and grit, saying she never simply leaned on her father’s wealth. “She’s entrepreneurial, tough, and determined,” he noted — qualities he believes will serve her well in marriage.

As part of his marital advice, Dangote encouraged the couple to keep their private life out of public discourse, advising them to grow closer to each other and avoid external interference.

He then lightened the mood, promising a “very big party” to celebrate their first child — joking that it might be hosted in London, Miami, or even back in Iceland.

Before concluding, Dangote applauded Femi Otedola for organizing what he called “the greatest wedding of the year” and “a truly historic celebration.”

He ended with a witty prediction, saying with their combined talent and ambition, Temi and Mr Eazi could one day become “the richest people on earth.”
