The Nigerian media personality and former Big Brother Naija contestant took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to express frustration over the online backlash aimed at housemates involved in romantic or physical connections.

According to Adekunle, the show is rated 18+, and all participants are consenting adults.

He stressed that intimacy on the show should not come as a surprise.

“The only sin Big Brother housemates actually commit is coming on the show to entertain you guys,” he wrote, mocking the outrage with a tone of disbelief.

He added that the continuous criticism and shaming are both hypocritical and harmful, pointing out that many viewers engaging in this moral policing do far worse privately.

Adekunle emphasized that being in a confined space naturally intensifies attraction among housemates, making such behavior expected.

In a particularly fiery part of his post, Adekunle defends BBNaija housemates by stating that the real issue lies in the image shaming and online abuse.

“This name calling and reputation damaging is what’s killing the show,” he said, accusing critics of double standards.

Adekunle’s comments have stirred fresh conversation online, with many applauding his bold stance while others continue to express concerns about the content of the show.
