Taking to Instagram, the celebrated screen icon expressed alarm over the ease with which falsehoods are published and amplified in the country’s digital space.

According to her, online media in Nigeria has strayed far from responsible reporting and has instead become a tool for character assassination.

“I never cease to wonder how it became so bad in Nigeria that online media has become an acceptable platform to misinform, witch-hunt, broadcast lies, and wish evil on others,” she wrote.

Clarion Chukwurah online media criticism did not stop at the general trend.

The actress, known for her commanding roles and strong personality, also addressed individuals spreading false narratives about her.

Without naming names, she questioned whether such behaviour stems from personal bitterness or an inability to celebrate others’ success.

She then turned to faith, quoting Isaiah 54:15–17, and reaffirmed that her success is not self-made but founded on divine purpose.

“To the unfortunate specimens out there peddling falsehood about me, I have come this far not by my own power because I have no power of my own, but by the WORD Of The LORD,” she declared.
