The Babcock degree that Carter Efe claim has set social media abuzz after the popular skit maker and singer asserted he graduated with a first class upper in Biochemistry from Babcock University.

The comedian made the declaration during a recent livestream, visibly frustrated with fans he feels often disrespect him.

“I went to Babcock University and graduated with first class upper. Go and ask. I studied Biochemistry. I was the best in my set. Make una no use me dey play o. Most of una wey dey watch me, I senior una,” Carter Efe boasted.

This is not the first time Carter Efe has spoken about his academic background; he previously tweeted about being the best in his set at the private institution.

However, his latest claim has sparked a wave of scepticism and amusement among social media users.

Many questioned the validity of his “first class upper” claim, noting that Nigeria’s grading system does not officially recognise such a category. Some dismissed it as comedic exaggeration, while others poked fun at the term.
