Blaqbonez denies harassment allegations, describing them as false and linked to music industry rivalries, while pledging full cooperation with authorities
Blaqbonez harassment allegations — Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has strongly denied claims of harassment, cyberstalking, and emotional abuse made against him by a woman identified as *Jane Doe, describing the accusations as fabricated and part of a wider campaign of intimidation within the music industry.
The woman, through her lawyer Taiwo Akinsulie, alleged that the rapper bullied and humiliated her after she reportedly declined his romantic advances. The petition further accused Blaqbonez of blackmail, invasion of privacy, and the unauthorised circulation of private videos.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Blaqbonez — real name Emeka Akumefule — dismissed the allegations as false, insisting that they stemmed from a personal relationship that ended amicably but was now being distorted for ulterior motives.
“Over the past few days, several false and deeply distressing allegations have been circulated online about me,” he said.
“These claims are not only untrue; they are part of a sustained pattern of harassment and intimidation that I have endured for months from certain individuals within the music industry.”
The rapper explained that he had been subjected to bullying, physical assaults, and coordinated online attacks for nearly a year but chose silence in the hope that “the truth would eventually speak for itself.”
“The relationship at the centre of these accusations ended respectfully and without conflict,” he noted, “yet it has been dragged into professional rivalries and used to discredit me publicly.”
As the allegations gained traction online, Blaqbonez said he felt compelled to respond publicly, warning against the “weaponisation of lies for attention and revenge.”
“The accusations being pushed are deliberate fabrications designed to damage my name, my work, and everything I’ve built,” he said. “They’ve caused pain to my family, my team, and those who support me.”
The rapper confirmed he is cooperating with authorities and has initiated legal measures to protect himself against defamation and harassment.
“I’m cooperating fully with the authorities and taking legal action to defend myself. I have nothing to hide and welcome transparency,” he affirmed.
Blaqbonez further reiterated his dedication to truth, self-belief, and artistic integrity — values he said define both his music and character.
“I’ve worked hard to represent honesty and self-belief in my music. That will not change. The truth will come out,” he said.
Concluding his statement, Blaqbonez thanked his fans for their unwavering support, expressing confidence that the controversy would not derail his focus or peace of mind.
“I won’t allow personal grudges or online hostility to define who I am or distract me from my purpose,” he added. “The truth is not afraid of light — and that’s where I stand.”
