Speaking during an interview with Clout Africa, Bella Shmurda said he composed the track to motivate a section of young listeners he described as hustlers.

He explained that the idea emerged from observing their lifestyle and creating music that reflected their reality.

Bella Shmurda added that the creative process was both spontaneous and, in his words, divinely guided. He noted that inspiration for the lyrics came naturally and required no elaborate backstory, describing the artistic flow as God-given.

The singer, whose rising profile has been marked by several chart-topping releases, said the intention behind ‘Cash App’ was to energise his audience and keep them engaged.
