Bella Shmurda reveals his last album cost over $100,000 to produce, emphasizing the high investment behind quality music and promotion

Popular Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has opened up about the substantial financial investment required to create and promote quality music.

Speaking on the pressures and costs of the music industry, the ‘Cash App’ singer disclosed that producing his latest album alone cost over $100,000.

He explained that promotion expenses also run into millions, underscoring that artists are investing heavily rather than overcharging.

“I will say this from the perspective of a creative person. Producing my album alone cost over $100,000. Then there are still expenses for promotion, which also run into millions. So, we are not overcharging,” Bella said.

He added that maintaining high standards extends beyond studio production, including lifestyle and image management.

“The cloth I’m putting on here now, I can’t wear it again after now because the people have already seen it on me,” he explained, highlighting the pressure to constantly reinvent and maintain a fresh public image.

Bella, who leads the Dagbana Republik movement, also praised his newest signee, Fola, who is gaining recognition in the music scene.

“Fola is signed under Dagbana Republik. I have known him for over four years now, and I just woke up one day and told my team it is time to support this guy fully in our own little way. We are happy with his success so far,” he said.
