Ayra Starr: I’d End a Serious Relationship for Someone More Attractive

Ayra Starr relationship views make headlines as the singer says she would leave a serious partner for someone she finds more attractive

Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has opened up about her views on relationships, saying she would end a serious relationship if she found another man more attractive.

The singer shared her perspective while responding to a woman facing a similar dilemma on the Ask Ayra Starr show.

Ayra Starr said that if she found herself in such a situation, she would rather end her existing relationship before pursuing a new romantic interest.

According to the singer, staying involved with two people at the same time would be unfair and could create unnecessary complications.

“If I’m in a serious relationship with a guy and then I find another guy more attractive, I would break up with him instead of dating both of them at the same time,” she said.

Ayra Starr added that people may need time away from relationships to properly understand their feelings before making a decision.

“I don’t think you can love two people. I think you need time to yourself so you can figure it out,” she added.

Beyond romantic attraction, the singer also addressed the importance of maintaining friendships while in a relationship.

Ayra Starr advised her fans not to abandon their friends simply because they have fallen in love, stressing that a healthy relationship should not come at the expense of meaningful friendships.

“You should never abandon your friends because you are in love,” she said.

The singer also warned against partners attempting to isolate each other from their friends because of a romantic relationship.

“Your partner should not isolate you from your friends because you are in a relationship,” she added, calling for a balance between friendship and romantic commitment.

Her comments have sparked interest because they touch on two recurring issues in modern relationships: how people respond when attraction changes and how couples can maintain personal relationships outside romance.

For Ayra Starr, the emphasis appears to be on making clear choices rather than keeping two romantic options open, while still allowing friendships to remain an important part of a person’s life.
