Asake Sets May 1 Release Date for New ‘M$NEY’ Album

Asake announces new album ‘M$NEY’ set for May 1, 2026, featuring global stars as he expands his sound and audience reach

Award-winning Nigerian singer Asake has confirmed that his upcoming album, M$NEY, will be released on May 1, 2026, ending months of anticipation among fans.

The project will feature 13 tracks, including previously released singles such as Why Love, Badman Gangster featuring Tiakola, and Worship featuring global producer DJ Snake.

The album marks his fourth studio LP in five years, underlining his rapid rise and consistent output since breaking into the mainstream.

The singer unveiled the release date via a social media post, sharing a visual of a stone carver working on what appears to be the album artwork.

The announcement follows a strong start to 2026, during which Asake released a joint EP with Wizkid titled REAL Vol. 1.

The project featured the hit track Jogodo, which reached the top of Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 100 chart.

Music analysts say the inclusion of international collaborators points to a deliberate effort to expand his global reach while maintaining his signature sound.

His previous album, Lungu Boy, featured guest appearances from global stars including Travis Scott, Central Cee, Stormzy, and Ludmilla, further strengthening his international profile.

Despite the global collaborations, the new project is expected to retain the energetic fusion of Yoruba lyricism, Amapiano rhythms, and hip-hop influences that have defined his music.
