ACF2025 African Cultural Festival gears up for global celebration as Lagos leads diaspora, creatives, and investors to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
ACF2025 African Cultural Festival is building massive global momentum just 17 days ahead of its official opening in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, from September 19–21, 2025.
The landmark event is set to celebrate Africa’s cultural heritage while driving investment, tourism, and diaspora collaboration under the theme: “Africa to the World: Culture, Creativity, and Collaboration.”
At a media briefing in Lagos, Mr. Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Arts, Culture, and Tourism, highlighted the strategic importance of Lagos’ involvement:
“As the heartbeat of Africa’s creative economy, Lagos is proud to champion our cultural wealth and innovation on the world stage,” Aregbe said. “This is more than celebration—it’s economic diplomacy.”
The ACF2025 African Cultural Festival will welcome a diverse network of leaders, including U.S. legislators, diaspora influencers, global creatives, entrepreneurs, and cultural powerhouses, all converging to elevate Africa’s narrative and influence.
Festival Director Foluke Michael recalled its global unveiling at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg earlier this year, where legends Wole Soyinka and Nike Okundaye were honoured by the Pennsylvania legislature:
“ACF2025 is more than a festival—it is a celebration, an investment, and a legacy,” she noted.
Also speaking, Mr. Dipo Odebowale, representing NiDCOM Chair Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, emphasized the value of the platform for national branding:
“This is a chance to showcase Nigeria’s brilliance—home and abroad—while strengthening ties with our diaspora.”
Meanwhile, Providus Bank’s Head of Diaspora Banking, Ms. Oluwatoyin Adepoju, confirmed their commitment to backing African creativity and enterprise:
“We’re proud to support a festival that connects African talent with global opportunities,” she said.
Lagos, often dubbed Africa’s capital of creativity, will be a key feature of the event—presenting its vibrant culture through fashion, food, film, tech, and trade.
Its delegation will include top creatives and entrepreneurs poised to forge strategic global partnerships.
With the ACF2025 African Cultural Festival just around the corner, all eyes are on Harrisburg for a celebration that promises not just cultural pride—but tangible impact, investment, and international collaboration.
