Kristin Cabot, the woman caught in a kiss cam moment with her married boss at a Coldplay concert, has spoken publicly about the incident, calling it a one-time, alcohol-fuelled mistake.

The incident occurred on July 16, 2025, during the band’s concert in Boston, when Cabot and Andy Byron, then CEO of Astronomer, were displayed in a close embrace on the venue’s giant screen.
The moment went viral after Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin jokingly drew attention to the pair, prompting them to quickly separate.
In an interview with the New York Times, Cabot said there was no ongoing sexual relationship with Byron.
“I made a bad decision after a few drinks and acted inappropriately with my boss,” she said, adding that she has taken responsibility and lost her job as a result.
Cabot described the encounter as a “cliché mistake” following a few tequila cocktails and emphasized that it was the first and only time they kissed.
She revealed she has faced intense online backlash, ridicule, and even death threats since the video circulated.
Although admitting to having a crush on Byron, Cabot insisted the encounter did not extend beyond that night.
She expressed particular embarrassment given her role as head of human resources at the company, while Byron was CEO. Following the scandal, Byron resigned from his position.

Cabot said she hopes her children understand that mistakes can happen, but stressed that harassment or threats should never follow.
