Kim Kardashian has recounted the harrowing experience of her 2016 Paris robbery as she returned to France to testify against the men accused of the attack, nearly a decade later.

The 45-year-old media personality described fearing for her life and her children’s safety as armed men stormed her residence during Fashion Week.

Kardashian told the latest episode of The Kardashians that she was bound, gagged, and confronted at gunpoint while the intruders searched for valuables.

“My instant reaction was: I have babies… please don’t kill me. They can take whatever they want,” she said, recalling the terrifying ordeal.

The robbers, disguised in police uniforms, forced the building’s concierge to guide them to her room, where her wrists and ankles were tied with zip ties and her face covered with tape.

Kardashian described the heightened fear of sexual assault as the men ransacked her apartment. Her friend Simone Harouche, who was hiding elsewhere in the building, said she feared the worst while hearing Kardashian scream.

The trial has faced a protracted timeline, with French authorities spending five years gathering evidence, while the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2024 Paris Olympics caused further delays.

Kardashian said she feels a sense of relief to finally face the accused, with five charged for carrying out the robbery and five others accused of aiding them.

Beyond the financial losses, including a $4 million engagement ring, Kardashian said the real damage was psychological, leaving her years of fear, heightened security measures, and avoidance of expensive jewellery in public.

One accused, Yunice Abbas, admitted having “no guilt” over the attack while acknowledging the lasting trauma it caused.

Supported by her mother, Kris Jenner, and Harouche, Kardashian’s return to Paris represents a bid to confront and close one of the most painful chapters of her life.

The trial is expected to continue over the coming weeks, as public attention remains fixed on whether long-delayed justice will be served.
