The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 30th, at 180 The Strand in London. It will celebrate the achievements of women across diverse fields including entertainment, activism, science, business, and politics, bringing together stars, innovators, and advocates for sisterhood and solidarity.

At just 23 years old, Tyla has emerged as a dynamic force in global music, blending pop with South African sounds like amapiano and gqom. Her Grammy-winning hit “Water” and her self-titled 2024 debut album propelled her into international fame.

In July 2025, Tyla released her WWP (We Wanna Party) EP, which shattered streaming records by amassing nearly 1.3 million listens in a single day, demonstrating her growing global influence.

For her Glamour feature, Tyla dazzled in high-fashion ensembles from designers like Christopher John Rogers, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, and Blumarine, showcasing her evolving style and confidence.

Reflecting on her upbringing, Tyla credits her South African roots and childhood hustle for building her resilience and artistry. “Ever since I could walk, I loved to dance and perform,” she shared, emphasizing how community and improvisation shaped her creative journey.

Tyla represents the new wave of South African artists taking local genres to global audiences. Inspired by artists like DJ Uncle Waffles, she believes South African music resonates worldwide because of its deep connection to freedom and self-expression.

Her signature style—ranging from Y2K-inspired outfits to her trademark brow slit—has made her a Gen-Z fashion muse and a creative force beyond music.
