Renowned gospel singer Tope Alabi is celebrating her 55th birthday with songs of praise and thanksgiving, expressing deep gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout her life and music career.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the celebrated gospel icon was seen singing and dancing joyfully, surrounded by friends and well-wishers who joined her in a session of heartfelt worship.
Alabi, fondly called Ore ti o common by her fans, has for decades been one of Nigeria’s most beloved gospel voices — known for her unique fusion of Yoruba poetry, Christian worship, and soul-stirring vocals.
In her birthday message, Alabi reflected on her journey of faith, describing her 55 years as a testament to God’s mercy, grace, and purpose.
“Today, October 27th, I joyfully mark my 55th birthday! As I reflect on the journey of life, my heart overflows with gratitude to the Almighty God, the Giver of life, purpose, and grace. Every step of this journey has been a testament to His faithfulness, mercy, and unfailing love,” she wrote.
“I am deeply thankful for all that He has done, all that He is doing, and all that He will yet do. The past years have been filled with lessons, blessings, and countless reasons to give Him praise. Truly, God has been good to me!”
As part of her celebration, the gospel minister announced a special worship session on YouTube tagged “Celebration Studio Session,” inviting fans and supporters to join her in thanksgiving.
“As I celebrate this new chapter, I warmly invite you to join me for a CELEBRATION STUDIO SESSION, where we will lift our voices in heartfelt praise and thanksgiving to God. Let’s come together to celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness over my life,” she added.
Over the years, Tope Alabi’s music has transcended generations, with classics like “Angeli Mi,” “Agbara Nla,” and numerous movie soundtracks becoming anthems of faith across Nigeria and beyond.
