Tacha Akide advice: Nigerian reality star urges men to impress women they woo, supporting a woman who criticised a man over unpaid restaurant bill

Lagos, Nigeria — Nigerian reality TV star and Guinness World Record holder, Tacha Akide, has called on men to make efforts to impress women they are interested in, emphasising respect and consideration in courtship.

The media personality made the comments on Instagram while weighing in on a viral incident where a woman criticised a man for failing to pay for her meal after obtaining her phone number at a restaurant. Tacha expressed her support for the woman, saying she did nothing wrong.

“Earlier, a lady had blasted a man who collected her number at a restaurant but failed to pay for her food. As a man, you need to be able to impress. If you’re not going to impress, just keep your distance,” Tacha said.

Using examples from the animal kingdom, Tacha highlighted that male animals often perform specific acts to win the attention of females.

“Go and watch Nat Geo Wilde. You’re going to see the bird bringing food to the female, performing. If she’s not impressed, she’s going to fly off. So if birds can clock it, how about you?” she added.

Tacha further stressed that men should match their actions with the intentions they express, particularly in social settings like restaurants or clubs.

“If you see me at a restaurant or you see me at a club as a Guinness World Record holder, two times, if you’re not going to buy me a bottle, I’m sorry. Don’t come close to me,” she stated.
