Breakout Afrobeats artist Strei has released his new single “Catapult” featuring Dxtiny, marking his first release of 2026 and the start of a new creative chapter.

The track debuted on 5 February 2026, following Strei’s viral rise over the past year.

Recorded at Kitzo Wrld Studios with producer BigSpace and engineer Treasure, “Catapult” was created organically during a fast-paced collaborative session.

Strei freestyled melodies before shaping them into lyrics that convey emotional honesty and effortless rhythm.

The process, completed in just two days, reflects spontaneity and natural musical instinct.

“Catapult” leans into Strei’s self-styled Afromood sound, fusing Afro rhythms with mood-driven expression.

The song explores the intersection of love, expectation, and possibility, carrying a playful energy and danceable rhythm while maintaining emotional depth. Dxtiny’s feature enhances the track’s conversational feel and emotional resonance.

Since emerging less than a year ago, Strei has accumulated over 20 million streams, with a viral debut EP that introduced Afromood to a global audience.
