The alleged conman, whose real name is Shimon Hayut, was apprehended by authorities in Georgia following new claims that he continued to scam women on dating platforms by posing as a wealthy billionaire.

Leviev gained notoriety after being exposed in the 2022 Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler, which detailed how he allegedly used charm, manipulation, and false identities to convince women to lend him vast sums of money—money he never repaid.

According to reports, the total amount defrauded now exceeds $10 million, with new victims coming forward across multiple countries.

The charges brought against him in Georgia include romance fraud and financial deception, crimes that have become increasingly common with the rise of online dating and unverified identities.
