Speaking to The Guardian during a humanitarian trip to Kyiv, Ukraine, Prince Harry addressed criticism surrounding the release of his memoir Spare and other public interviews.

“I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” he stated.

Harry, who formally stepped down from royal duties in 2020, reiterated that his intention was never to damage the monarchy but to tell his story honestly and responsibly.

The statement follows ongoing scrutiny regarding his revelations about life within the British royal household.

The Prince also used the opportunity to confirm that he is pursuing legal action against the publisher of the Daily Mail, alleging unlawful activities including phone hacking and invasion of privacy.

“It is not about revenge, it is about accountability,” he added.

This legal pursuit follows a separate victory in his phone-hacking case against Mirror Group Newspapers, where he was awarded £140,600 in damages.

Harry’s comments are likely to intensify public debate around privacy, the media, and the boundaries of royal responsibility in the digital age.
