Scott Iguma Cries Out After Uncle Kidnapped in Edo State

Nigerian content creator Scott Iguma has raised the alarm after his uncle was abducted in broad daylight in Edo State, highlighting growing concerns over the country’s worsening security situation.

Iguma revealed that his uncle, who was reportedly assaulted by the abductors, sounded extremely weak and injured during a brief phone call.

The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of ₦100 million, later reducing it to ₦50 million.

The social media personality expressed frustration at the apparent lack of action from law enforcement, saying that the kidnapping was promptly reported but little visible response has followed.

“I am speaking to you now; my uncle has been kidnapped in broad daylight in Edo State. You see this insecurity—if it hasn’t come to your doorstep, you won’t understand what’s going on in this country,” Iguma said.

He added, “They had beaten him so hard. And one thing I noticed about these bandits is that they are extremely bold; they show no fear.”

Iguma’s plea adds to a growing chorus of citizens calling for urgent government intervention to tackle kidnappings and violent crime across Nigeria.
