Reacting after the prestigious awards ceremony held over the weekend, Martins acknowledged her differences with Edochie but insisted that his acting abilities remain exceptional.

“Hate aside, Yul Edochie is a fantastic actor, and he deserves a win. AMVCA, you people can do better,” Martins wrote in a social media post while congratulating other award recipients.

The statement quickly attracted attention online as fans and industry observers debated Edochie’s place in Nollywood and his long-standing claims about his acting prowess.

In recent years, Edochie has repeatedly described himself as the best actor in Nigeria and Africa, arguing that his intensity and screen presence set him apart from his peers.
