The incident has provoked widespread condemnation, with angry users flooding Sammie’s Instagram page demanding a refund.

Emmanuel Idakoh, who identified himself as the victim, made the allegation in a viral video recorded by popular Nigerian videographer, Lucky Udu.

In the footage, Idakoh recounted how he paid Sammie, whom he referred to as a trusted brother, over ₦4 million to secure a place in the upcoming BBNaija season.

“Hi everyone, my name is Emmanuel Idakoh, also known as Young Barby. I was scammed ₦4,450,000 by my brother from Kogi State, Big Sammie from BBNaija Season 6,” he said.

According to Idakoh, Sammie allegedly pressured him into making additional payments, urging him to take loans to meet demands, promising a guaranteed slot and refunds if things went wrong.

Idakoh said he eventually sold his car to repay a loan taken under Sammie’s advice.

I was not defrauded by a random person but by somebody I trusted so much and considered as my brother.

“What hurts me the most is the fact that I was not defrauded by a random person but by somebody I trusted so much and considered as my brother,” he lamented.

At the time of this report, Sammie has not publicly addressed the allegations and has also ignored a request for comment.
