Lagos, Nigeria — Big Brother Naija Season 10 delivered another emotional blow on Sunday night as Babatunde “Rooboy” Adeyemi, the 27-year-old hype man from Ogun State, became the third housemate evicted in a dramatic triple eviction twist.

Rooboy’s departure followed the exits ofMide Iwasokun and Zita Oloruntola, marking the end of a nine-week run defined by unmissable energy, viral Diary Sessions, and show-stopping performances.

Entering the house on July 26 as one of 29 contestants, Rooboy brought with him the persona of a streetwise entertainer with one clear goal: to amplify his brand and turn his passion into a career boost.

“I’m the life of the party, full stop,” he confidently told Biggie on day one — a promise he consistently delivered.

From leading impromptu dance battles to coining fan-favourite phrases like “Na me dey burst the mic!”, Rooboy earned the nickname “Hype King” both inside and outside the house.

Despite his popularity, Rooboy’s time in the house wasn’t without controversy. Just a week before eviction, he found himself at the centre of a heated altercation with fellow housemate Zita during a group task.

In what has since been dubbed the “Indomie Incident”, Zita threw hot noodles at Rooboy during the row — an action that earned both housemates double strikes and stirred debate across social media.

“Zita poured hot indomie on Rooboy’s face… Zita Must Be Disqualified!” one outraged fan posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Others, however, defended Zita, blaming Rooboy’s provocative remarks and “shady jabs” for escalating the conflict.

The fallout from the altercation likely influenced public sentiment and votes, ultimately contributing to their simultaneous eviction alongside Mide.

Rooboy’s absence is already being felt in the BBNaija house, especially in tasks that require crowd engagement and high energy.

His departure leaves the house more subdued, but also wide open, with remaining housemates Kola, Dede, Sultana, and Isabella now considered frontrunners for the show’s October finale.

Though evicted, Rooboy’s brand is far from dimmed.

The exposure from BBNaija has catapulted him into the public eye, with fans already anticipating music projects, club appearances, and possibly a comedy tour.
