The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was submitted through Leonard’s legal representatives, Uche Okoro and Co, accusing Stanley Ontop of persistently damaging his reputation for more than two years without provocation.

According to the petition, the actor alleged that Stanley Ontop deliberately fed the public with negative narratives aimed at undermining his character and professional standing within the entertainment industry.

Leonard made the development public on Monday after sharing a copy of the petition on his official Instagram page, signalling a decisive shift from silence to legal action.

In a strongly worded caption accompanying the post, Leonard warned that the matter would be pursued to its legal conclusion.

“Mr Stanley Chibueze Ajemba, a.k.a Stanley Ontop, you have been served. The law will take its course to the full extent. You first, others will follow. If you claim or allege, you must prove with evidence. I’m coming for you,” he wrote.

The petition marks a significant escalation in the long-running dispute and underscores growing tensions within Nollywood over online allegations and reputational harm.
