Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has confirmed the arrest of the woman who secretly recorded and circulated a viral gym video of her earlier this year.

The announcement came during an appearance on the Honest Brunch Podcast, where the actress detailed how she tracked down the culprit.

Blessing said she initially sought assistance from the gym management, iFitness, who refused to provide information about the woman. She later located the individual and involved law enforcement. “iFitness hid her information from me… I found her. I got her arrested, of course,” the actress stated.

During the interview, Blessing defended her natural physique and criticised online body-shaming comments comparing her unedited gym footage to highly curated social media images. “You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body.

Are you stupid, sis?” she remarked, emphasising that she wears clothes that make her comfortable without seeking approval.

The viral footage, captured without Blessing’s consent, showed the actress exhausted and without makeup, prompting a wave of online mockery. She clarified on Instagram at the time that her gym sessions are for fitness, not glamour.

“Working out is not a fashion show,” she wrote, highlighting that it is normal to appear tired after exercising.

Blessing’s decision to pursue legal action came after initially refraining from doing so, underlining her commitment to protecting her privacy and challenging online harassment.
