Megan Moroney reveals she cut her vacation short to perform with Ed Sheeran at the Bluebird Cafe, praising him as talented and down-to-earth.

Country music star Megan Moroney recently revealed that she once cut short a planned vacation to perform alongside Ed Sheeran in Nashville.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Moroney explained that a single phone call from the pop superstar was enough for her to change her travel plans.

“He wanted me to play the Bluebird Cafe with him, and I thought it was a joke. I ended up cancelling the vacation because when Ed Sheeran calls and wants you to play a show with him, you drop everything,” Moroney said.

The “6 Months Later” singer noted that performing with Ed Sheeran made her an even bigger fan of the British artist.

She also shared that they have been exchanging songs and emails, building a professional connection that she hopes will eventually lead to a collaboration.

“He’s just so down to earth, kind, and talented, and he was talking to me about how his kids, Lyra and Jupiter, and his wife Cherry Seaborn are big fans of mine,” she added.

“When the time is right and the song is right, it’ll happen. I’m such a fan of his, and I’m sure his kids would appreciate us having a song together.”
