Linc Edochie Raises Alarm Over Pro-Iran Protests in Nigeria

Linc Edochie warning urges northern protesters to avoid provoking the US and Israel amid tensions following Iran’s retaliatory strikes

Popular Nigerian actor Linc Edochie has issued a strong warning to protesters in northern Nigeria, urging restraint after demonstrations erupted in solidarity with Iran following the reported killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Linc Edochie made the appeal in a video posted on his Facebook page after groups of northern youths reportedly staged pro-Iran protests in several states.

The demonstrations followed claims that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed on February 28 in a joint airstrike allegedly carried out by Israel and the United States.

The situation has since intensified in the Middle East after Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Israeli and American assets across the region, fuelling fears of a wider global confrontation.

Against that tense backdrop, the actor urged Nigerian protesters not to draw unnecessary attention from powerful nations.

“This may not be our direct concern, but what is happening in the world, let us take this matter to God in prayers,” Linc Edochie said in the video message.

Linc Edochie warned that the escalating hostilities could spiral into what he described as the most dangerous conflict in modern history.

The actor suggested that while the war may not follow traditional battle lines, its consequences could prove devastating.

“I’m sorry to say this: a third world war has formally begun,” Linc Edochie said.

“This war may not be fought on conventional terms, in all honesty, but it’s going to be the deadliest the world has ever seen.”

Addressing the protesters directly, Linc Edochie appealed for calm and urged them to leave the streets, warning that provocative actions could place Nigeria in a precarious position.

“You don’t want to provoke a superpower,” the actor said.

“If we draw their attention towards us, we’re in trouble. Nigeria cannot stand the fury of these countries.”

Linc Edochie concluded the message by calling for caution and unity, urging citizens to focus on managing domestic challenges rather than escalating tensions tied to conflicts abroad.
