Kunle Afod Sparks Debate With Bold Infidelity Comments

Kunle Afod stirs controversy with infidelity comments, suggesting women cheat as much as men but hide it better. Fans react online

Kunle Afod infidelity comments have ignited a wave of controversy online after the Nollywood actor and filmmaker suggested that women are just as unfaithful as men—only more discreet about it.

Speaking during an interview with fellow actress Biola Bayo, Afod also linked the rise in DNA tests across Nigeria to what he described as increased levels of female infidelity.

“I believe women cheat just as men, just that they are smarter. Immediately a man starts having an affair, the wife will notice. The issue of DNA has most women as culprits,” he stated.

The actor didn’t stop there. He went on to criticize the use of sex toys in relationships, drawing a controversial parallel between women’s private habits and idol worship.

“Women now cheat to the extent of having multiple dildos. Is one dildo not enough? You say you don’t want to cheat on your husband, yet you bought a dildo. In my heart, you already worshipped an idol,” he said.

The remarks have triggered widespread discussion across social media, with many calling the statements harsh and unfair, while others applauded Afod for saying what they believe many men are thinking but won’t say out loud.

Despite the bold takes, Kunle Afod took a softer tone when speaking about his own marriage.

He praised his wife, Desola, for being the glue holding their home together through difficult times.

“Any home that survives the test of time, the woman is the one responsible for it. My wife and I have our own issues, just the same way, but it’s every home. I want to tell her today that she is the best woman ever,” he added.

The actor’s comments come at a time when conversations around trust, fidelity, and evolving gender roles are heating up across Nigerian society.
