Kola Defends Feelings for Dede, Slams Jason’s ‘Hypocrisy’

Kola BBNaija Dede drama has continued post-finale as the Season 10 finalist opened up about his feelings for fellow housemate Dede, while taking a swipe at rival contestant Jason.

In a candid post-show interview, Kola clarified that his interest in Dede wasn’t just physical, but rooted in a genuine desire to know her beyond the surface.

“I wanted to know her on a deeper level. When I say deeper level, I just didn’t want the softest level of getting to know her,” he said.

While acknowledging that Dede had set clear boundaries and attracted attention from multiple housemates, Kola stood firm on the authenticity of his emotions.

“I knew she had somebody else like me. I knew the boundaries she had, but I just wanted to know her on a deeper level. I think that’s normal. I’m human. My feelings were my feelings,” he explained.

But the conversation took a sharper turn when Kola addressed Jason’s criticism of his approach toward Dede, accusing the fellow housemate of double standards.

He stated: “I think the hypocrisy of it all is that you are coming for the chaser. She held herself to a high standard. You moved from one point to the other and kept moving.”

Taking a more pointed jab, Kola added: “You’re in no position to tell me how to go about it if I’m chasing somebody or not, because you yourself were not loyal in any way.”

This marks a continued tension between the two ex-housemates, which had been brewing throughout the final weeks of the show.

Dismissing rumours that he had been entertaining multiple women in the house, Kola concluded by reinforcing that his intentions toward Dede were honest and straightforward.

“I genuinely liked her, and I’m not going to make it seem like it’s wrong to genuinely like somebody.”
