Kiekie Explains Why She Avoids Some Entertainment Collaborations

Kiekie collaboration choices explained as the Nigerian creator reveals why she avoids working with content makers whose style does not match her brand

Nigerian content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has explained why she chooses not to collaborate with some colleagues in the entertainment industry, citing differences in creative direction and brand identity.

The media personality shared her perspective during a recent podcast interview, where she said she would avoid partnerships with skit makers whose content style is considered too vulgar or inconsistent with her public image.

Kiekie explained that her decision is not based on disrespect for other creators but on maintaining the values and standards associated with her brand.

“I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them,” she said.

When asked to mention a specific creator, Kiekie declined to name anyone, explaining that her position was based on general creative differences rather than personal criticism.

“I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it’s just brand alignment,” she said.

The content creator added that choosing not to work with certain individuals should not be interpreted as looking down on their craft or questioning their efforts.

“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognise your hard work but we just don’t align,” she explained.

Kiekie, who has built a strong presence through comedy, lifestyle content and brand partnerships, said maintaining consistency in her image remains an important factor when considering professional collaborations.
