The actor opened up about his venture into music, describing it as a daring chapter of his life when he believed he could do anything.

“Doing music was a regrettable experience; not in a bitter way, but in a humbling one,” he said. “At that point in my life, it was just fun. 2Baba and I had a great time with it. For me, it was a dare, a phase.”

While he acknowledged the excitement of performing and recording, Iyke was quick to admit the path wasn’t sustainable.

Continuing, he said, “I could have built a career from it, but I would have ended up as one of those mediocre acts still stumbling along because their early hits were just good enough to keep them afloat. That’s not me. I know my limits.”

Jim Iyke’s music career, though short-lived, wasn’t without value.

He emphasized that it helped him rediscover his strength and purpose in acting.

“I don’t live with regrets though; only lessons and triumphs,” he said. “Music gave me a glimpse into another world, and I enjoyed it. But when the fever calmed, I knew it was time to return to what I did best.”
