Award-winning Nigerian filmmaker Jade Osiberu has announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy, sharing that the milestone occurred in August during her 40th year.

In an Instagram post, Osiberu expressed gratitude to God for the life-changing moment, reflecting on motherhood as her “most humbling and life-defining journey.” She wrote: “08/08/2025 – My life changed forever. God said in your 40th year, I will complete you. God really does make all things beautiful in His time.”

The filmmaker named her son Moraraoluwa Jaiyeoba and prayed for wisdom, favour, peace, and protection over his life. She described feeling profoundly “seen and loved by God,” calling the experience a testament to divine mercy and favour.

Osiberu, recognised as one of Nollywood’s leading directors, joins a growing list of influential female filmmakers shaping the Nigerian and global film industry.
