GOtv Boxing Night adds Afrobeats star Mavo to its December 26 line-up, joining Showday for live music and professional boxing in Lagos

GOtv Boxing Night Jams Festival has announced fast-rising Afrobeats star Mavo as the latest addition to its live performance line-up, joining Afro-fusion act Showday for the event on December 26 at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

The festival, known for blending live music with professional boxing, will feature six boxing bouts alongside musical performances, reinforcing its status as a highlight of Lagos’ festive entertainment calendar.

Mavo, celebrated for his energetic, slang-heavy style, has made waves with hit singles such as ‘Escapade,’ ‘Shaye’ and ‘Feelings’, gaining international attention and collaborations that have positioned him as one of Afrobeats’ most promising new voices.

Showday, recognised for his smooth Afro-fusion sound and relatable songwriting, will perform fan favourites like ‘Overdose,’ ‘Better Days’ and ‘Tonight’, alongside collaborations with established Nigerian artistes.

Organisers say the 2025 edition promises an exciting mix of sport and music, attracting fans of both boxing and live performances.
