The celebrated Nigerian DJ highlighted the continent’s population as a massive advantage that can sustain artists for life.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Rubbin Minds, DJ Neptune emphasised that even a small percentage of Africa’s audience consistently engaging with an artist’s work can ensure long-term stability.

“All DJ Neptune needs to sustain me for the rest of my career is probably just four to five per cent of that population constantly streaming my music and coming to my shows,” he said.

The 35-year-old also described collaboration in the creative industry as the “new gold,” urging artists to unite and amplify their collective impact. He believes that a unified approach can turn Africa into a global powerhouse for music.

Despite his success, DJ Neptune remains passionately driven. “I’m still as hungry as when I started. The goal is to be celebrated as a global DJ from Africa, West Africa, Nigeria, to be precise,” he added.

Experts note that DJ Neptune’s message is both practical and inspiring, highlighting the importance of ownership, teamwork, and strategic planning in an increasingly competitive global music industry.
