The drama unfolded after social media critic VeryDarkMan shared a WhatsApp conversation allegedly from actress Iyabo Ojo.
In it, she criticized Davido for failing to unfollow Naira Marley, claiming his public support for Mohbad was just clout-chasing.
Iyabo expressed her disappointment, saying:
The accusation clearly didn’t sit well with the award-winning singer.
My problem is not even the black whatever, it is Davido who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley… Just fake love 001.
In response, Davido unfollowed the actress, a move that’s now stirring reactions across social platforms.
However, a check confirms that Iyabo Ojo still follows him.
Mohbad’s controversial death in 2023 prompted a wave of protests and celebrity action. Iyabo Ojo led the Justice for Mohbad campaign, even creating a WhatsApp group to mobilize supporters.
Davido, Falz, and Zlatan also joined the candlelight procession in his memory.
