Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of the Omega Power Ministry, had earlier announced via his Facebook page that he was seeking a husband for his 21-year-old adopted daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor.

The cleric disclosed that the young woman, who has autism, can speak and hear clearly, and outlined strict conditions for any prospective suitor, including being young and in good physical and mental health.

He also listed several incentives, including lifetime financial support, a free home, and a jointly owned property, alongside unannounced supervision visits by ministry staff to ensure her wellbeing.

The announcement came weeks after the cleric reportedly facilitated the marriage of his adopted autistic son, a development that had already generated public debate.

Reacting to the latest proposal, Damola Olatunji said the situation had crossed a critical line and required urgent reflection.

He stressed that marriage is a serious commitment that must involve full and informed consent from both parties, warning against arrangements that may compromise individual autonomy.

The actor urged the cleric to consider establishing a structured care home instead, arguing that such a system would better protect and support vulnerable individuals.

Damola Olatunji added that many people at the age of 21 may not be prepared for marriage without external pressure, particularly those requiring specialised care.
