The claims originated from a viral, unverified Facebook post suggesting that Okocha had proposed to Daniels following reports of her separation from husband Ned Nwoko.

Reacting on Instagram, Okocha urged social media users to stop spreading the false reports.

He wrote: “Abeg ooo, Facebook people,” emphasising his desire to remain uninvolved in the speculation.

The rumours have reignited online debates about Daniels’ marital status, though Okocha stressed that they were baseless.

Fans and commentators have largely supported the actor’s stance, noting he is married and currently residing with his family in Canada.

This incident follows earlier claims regarding Daniels, including drug test controversies, which she addressed to protect her children’s future amid ongoing marital tensions.
